Blossom studied at and received her degrees from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She was raised in New Windsor, a rural farm community in northwest Illinois (Home of the Biggest Little Rodeo in the Midwest).

After college, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia for 13 years and currently resides in Galesburg, Illinois. She has worked at a portrait studio for a year and as a forensic photographer for five years. She currently works full time in an unrelated field and does photography as her love interest.
